Villa Cap Ouest
Villa Cap Ouest
West oriented, opposite the series of islands in the bays of Lorient and Saint Jean, Villa Cap Ouest has been built in a housing estate. As a consequence, it has been subjected to strict rules and required special landscape techniques to blend into the environment. Built into the ground, the Cap Ouest roof is masked by a green planted terrace and as a result is hardly noticeable.

A significant challenge was to design a villa open to the exterior, yet with a minimum of pillars in order not to disturb the view. For example, the building of the cantilevered terrace in a seismic area was particularly challenging and required collaboration with concrete engineers.

The layout and the decoration of the Villa Cap Ouest are contemporary. The visible concrete structure, the aluminium structures and the tinted glass windows give character to the villa.

Portuguese Cascaille stone for the floor and the Bisazza mosaic for the sinks adorn the villa. As for the swimming pool, its double waterfall basin towards the sea provides the illusion that it flows directly into the sea. The base of the swimming pool uses mosaics to imitate the colour of the Caribbean.
